APGA Flags- off Legislative Campaign… Vows to Sweep Ogbaru

The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has vowed to win all the legislative seats in Ogbaru Local Government Area of Anambra State in the coming February election.

The chairman of Ogbaru Local Government Area, Comrade Arinze Awogu, with the candidates of the party in the area made the assertion Tuesday when the Party flagged off campaign in the Local Government with a massive road show which took them to all the communities and electoral wards in the Local Government.

Awogu who is the Coordinator of APGA campaign in the Local Government said that the road show which involved over 35 vehicles was to show that the Party was in charge in that area.

He said that from the response and support of the people in all the places they went, it was clear that APGA was coasting to victory in all the legislative seats from the Senate , House of Representatives to the House of Assembly.

Awogu urged those who have registered but have not collected their PVC to immediately rush to Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) office to collect their PVC to allow them vote for the candidates of the party.

The party’s candidate for the House of Representatives for Ogbaru Federal Constituency, Princess Chinwe Nwaebili, said it has become imperative for a change in the Federal Constituency so that the constituents will experience democracy dividends, saying that the person representing them now only comes back during election to deceive the people with peanuts.

Nwaebili, a former Speaker of Anambra State House of Assembly and ex-Commissioner in the State promised to bring federal presence to Ogbaru, which has been lacking in the area.

The Ogbaru two State Constituency candidate in the State House of Assembly, Mr. Nwadialo Frank,said his intention to go to the House was to bring a new face of representation to the constituents of his Constituency.

He assured that with APGA victory is assured because there is no other party that can challenge the dominance of APGA in the area.

Others who expressed confidence of winning the election come February include the candidate of the Party for Ogbaru one State Constituency,, Mr. Celestine Umeh, the chairman of the party in the Local Government, Chief Ifejika Nnamdi.
