The Anambra State Police Command Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Mohammed Haruna, is among the human right friendly Police Officers and other individuals in the State who will be honoured by the South East Coalition of Human Rights and Pro-democracy groups.
The Coalition said that Haruna who is a Superintendent of Police will be bestowed with the human right award this December during the celebration of United Nations Declaration of Human Rights (UNDHR) by the group.
According to the chairman of the group, Dede Uzor A Uzor, Haruna has been adjudged the most friendly Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the history of the state command.
He said Haruna is the only PPRO who within 10 minutes of report of crime would have visited the scene for necessary action and gave his reports objectively and professionally without altering or compromising such report.
As an image maker,Dede Uzor said,Haruna has built bridges of love,mutual understanding and friendship with the public.
He said “The Command have never had this type of image maker in the anal of PPRO in the state. He has created rapport among men in the State. In view of his splendid performance, we appeal to the Inspector-General of Police and the Police Service Commission to recommend him for the Chief Sprintendent of police CSP promotion” the coalition advised, he added.
